Our Footbeds

Our footbed designs come from many years of footwear experience and provide support for the whole body, not just the feet. Many of our footbeds use our Cork Core Technology and are made with high quality materials. The layering process of our NBF911 series footbeds have a unique blend of hard and soft thicknesses in all the right places creating an epitome of body comfort and support. Our Nice Story

Nice Brand Footwear was founded in 2013 on the Central Coast of California by Kevin Zunich.

The real story behind Nice Brand Footwear began in 1976 when the Zunich family entered the shoe industry. After several years of retail shoe store sales, online footwear ecommerce, and a lot of shoe repair experience, Kevin Zunich decided to launch a “nice and comfy” shoe brand called Nice. After working directly with many customers on the sales floor over the years, Kevin saw a missing niche in the footwear market and felt it was time to make a brand that was the epitome of comfort, whole body support, total coziness all around the foot, and that was firm and soft in all the right places. Nice Brand Footwear was born in Shell Beach, California after a recent trip to China in 2011 to visit shoe factories that specialized in comfort and support.

Kevin was first introduced to the shoe industry at eight years old, when he began working on small tasks around the shop of his parents shoe store in San Luis Obispo, California located in “The Creamery.” The family focused on specializing in Birkenstock Footwear and eventually started doing Birkenstock shoe repair in the 1980’s. The Zunich family has deep ties to the comfort footwear industry and to The Birkenstock Family and Birkenstock brand of products. Growing up around healthy footwear all his life, Kevin watched first hand how a healthy supportive piece of footwear could change and improve lives.

So the “nice life” journey began. Perfecting the build of cork core footbeds and putting more value back into the shoe for the customer is the goal while developing Nice Brand Footwear. We go to work each day to maximize comfort, support, and value to the customer. The brand Nice could be looked at as a footwear industry Rebel.
